ARKANSAS SNOW GOOSE HUNTING
Welcome to Bustin-Geese Outfitters! We would like to invite your group to come join us in Northeast Arkansas on a hunting adventure like no other. Our goal is to work hard for our hunting parties and to provide a quality hunt that will keep our customers coming back. The Conservation Order hunt is a federal mandated order allowed to thin the increasing number of light geese also know as snow geese. This opportunity is a water fowlers dream come true due to the fact that that are no daily bag or possession limits. The Conservation Order dates are set at the end of August and normally starts the first week of February. The migration for our area usually last until March 15 or sometimes later depending on the weather conditions and the type of spring we are having.
When your group comes to Bustin-Geese Outfitters you need to come ready to hunt! We will be hunting an area where the snow goose numbers are at times beyond imagination and when we leave the lodge we are very serious about doing our job, which is killing geese. We guarantee that we will work hard for your group so come join us! You wont be disappointed!
THE "NEW" BUSTIN-GEESE 2010
We have made a few changes for the 2010 Conservation Order Hunt. We have put a lot into perfecting what we do as an outfitter service specializing in snow goose hunting only. We feel that these changes from some of our past practices are necessary to ensure a quality hunt. We are excited about these changes for the 2010 season and look forward to having you join us on your hunting adventure. These changes include but are not limited to:
- Bustin-Geese Outfitters will be operating further north this season and will be based out of Delaplaine Arkansas which puts us closer to the Missouri state line. We decided to make this change due to the large concentration of geese that have been using this area. We also have access to thousands of acres in this area that will be scouted daily. We will move our spread daily if necessary to stay on the birds.
- We have also made a few changes on our pricing and group requirements. The price for the 2010 conservation order hunt will be $250 per person per day. A 25% deposit will be required no more than 10 days after booking or the dates will automatically become available again. The balance is due upon arrival along with our normal check in procedures.
- The maximum size of our hunting parties will be no more than 8 hunters per day not including the guide. We require that one party have at least 6 hunters to get the lodge to themselves. If your party is 5 or less you can expect to be blended with another small group. There will be no more than 8 clients go out each day unless other arrangements have been made. Each individual client will be required to sign a release form at the time of arrival once settled in.
- All hunting will end each day at 2:00 to allow time for relocation of the spread for the next day and also to allow scouting time. We have found that the best hunting is usually in the mornings with rare exceptions. All day hunting for snow geese severely cuts into our scouting and relocation time and can result in lower kill numbers for your group.
- We will also have check in and out times for each entering and exiting group. Check in will be no earlier than 5:00 p.m. and check out time will be no later than 3 p.m. This will allow us the proper time to clean up before the next group of hunters arrive.
